Review: Rihanna's Fenty Skin Butta Drop Shimmering Whipped Oil Body Cream (Holiday Edition)

Hey Glam Fam,

As I was doing my regular Christmas shopping, I couldn't help but go into Sephora and get my hands on the Fenty Skin limited edition version of the Butta Drop Body Cream. I've been using it for a few weeks now and here are my thoughts!

Whilst it's on the pricey side of Body Creams, I think the slightly higher price is totally worth it for the product you will get.

The first thing I noticed when I opened the packaging is the cinnamon aroma which definitely makes you reminiscent of the seasonal holidays.

The texture is heavy and silky but it melts on to your skin. The formula does not feel watery or thin which I really like. Perhaps the best thing about the cream is that it didn't leave my skin feeling super oily which is definitely a big plus for me.

It feels super hydrating and leaves your skin sparkling with hints of glitter which is also an aspect that is unique to the holiday edition. The shimmer is also super subtle so it will not leave your skin looking like it has body paint

Ingredients

As per the Sephora website, the Butta Drop contains nearly 25% of rich butters and restorative tropical oils alongside antioxidants and vitamin C-packed cherry extracts.

To be more specific:

  • 7 Luxe Oils: Kalahari Melon, Sorrel, Baobab, Sunflower, Rice Bran, Coconut, Jojoba help nourish skin and deliver a healthy sheen
  • Shea Butter: Helps deeply condition and repair the moisture barrier
  • Mango Butter: Antioxidant-rich properties help restore suppleness
  • Glycerin: A supple humectant; binds and locks in moisture
  • I purchased mines in store at Sephora but you will still be able to purchase the limited edition through  Sephora and the regular Body Butter through the Fenty website
